My Featured Projects

Here’s a closer look at some of the sustainability projects I’ve been involved in. Each of these initiatives reflects my passion for conservation, research, and youth engagement.

🌱 Fresha na Mti β€” Campus Tree Planting

This campaign combined tree planting with first-year student induction, creating an inspiring culture of stewardship on campus. We planted indigenous trees, taught students about their ecological importance, and encouraged them to take personal responsibility for the environment. The result? A greener, more welcoming campus and a sense of belonging among students.

πŸ§ͺ River Kirichwa Study β€” Soil & Water Analysis

This project focused on sampling soil along River Kirichwa to assess how water pollution was affecting its chemical properties. The data revealed changes in pH, nutrient levels, and contamination hotspots. The findings were used to recommend mitigation measures, including proper waste management and awareness campaigns to reduce river pollution.

🌍 Malizingira Movement β€” Youth Mobilization

As a youth coordinator, I worked with environmental groups to design and implement sustainability solutions. Together, we organized climate education workshops, clean-up drives, and campaigns to reduce plastic waste. These activities empowered young people to become active change-makers in their communities.
